Regular CDs — fixed fee plus interest forfeiture
Alliance Bank’s regular-CD page says withdrawing principal before maturity may incur a $100 charge plus the loss of two, six, or 12 months of interest earned, depending on the original term. The page lists regular terms of 6, 12, 16, 24, 36, and 48 months, but does not map each term to an interest-forfeiture tier. It also says additional deposits or withdrawals are not allowed before maturity.
The fixed $100 component is explicit, but the missing tier-to-term mapping prevents a reliable automatic penalty calculation. Do not choose a tier from the list by assumption. Obtain confirmation that early withdrawal will be allowed, the applicable interest component, and any effect on principal. Older or specially negotiated CD contracts may differ from this current product description.
