7–31 day CD — account disclosure
For its 7–31 day CD, BankOrion states that an early-withdrawal penalty is the greater of all interest on the amount withdrawn or seven days of interest on that amount. Early withdrawal of principal requires the bank’s consent, and a partial withdrawal can reduce the rate on the remaining balance. The disclosure provides 10 calendar days after maturity to withdraw without a penalty and describes renewal for the same term. Unless the bank gives written notice otherwise, the renewal rate is its rate for a comparable new CD at maturity.
This disclosure is specifically for the 7–31 day product, not every BankOrion CD. It does not fully establish the penalty’s annual day basis or how any shortfall is collected. Possible death, incompetence, and retirement-plan exceptions require bank confirmation. Rate information shown is dated December 30, 2024, and does not establish the agreement governing a different opening or renewal date.
