Traditional IRA Certificate of Deposit
Mauch Chunk Trust Company’s Traditional IRA/CD section lists a bank penalty of three months of interest for one-year CDs and six months of interest for CDs longer than one year when describing withdrawals before age 59½. It says no bank penalty is assessed at certificate maturity or within its 20-day grace period, and describes age- and circumstance-based waivers.
These statements are in the Traditional IRA/CD section, not the ordinary Growth or Income CD descriptions. Bank penalties and IRA tax consequences are different; this summary does not reproduce the page’s tax guidance or imply that every withdrawal incurs the listed bank fee. Confirm waiver eligibility and the account’s IRA/CD agreement.
