Hot savings accounts from Icesave

Saturday, August 23rd, 2008

Icesave launched in the UK in October 2006 as an online savings provider. Icesave is part of Landsbanki, one of the largest quoted financial services companies in Iceland, with worldwide assets totalling Euro 31.9bn, and assets exceeding £6bn here in the UK. Attractive regular savings rates

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

Alliance & Leicester is offering new and existing customers who open a new Premier Current Account and have their main income paid into it, the opportunity to open a regular savings account that is guaranteed to pay 12% fixed for one year. The regular savings account only needs minimum savings of £10 per month, but it is capped at a maximum of £250 per month. Even so with such an attractive savings rate, it’s certainly worth looking at, particularly for existing customers.

Best Cash ISA rates

Monday, June 16th, 2008

I’ve been looking around for the best cash ISA savings rate for a product that doesn’t have any strings attached, such as requiring you to invest the same amount of money again in a fixed term bond. The top rate that I’ve been able to find to date is a fixed rate cash issue (issue 27) from the Principaility Building Society. It pays an AER of 6.60% on maturity. If you’ve come across a cash ISA rate to beat the deal from the Principality then please let us know by posting your comments here.
