The Gift Aid scheme allows UK charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) to reclaim basic rate tax on your donation. If you pay higher rate tax, you can reclaim the difference between the basic and higher rate tax bands via your self assessment form or alternatively using the form P810. The reclaimed amounts can then also be given directly to a charity if you choose to do so.
